Organisers of Brighter Futures, Ghana’s biggest Recruitment and Talent Management Exhibition and Conference, Occupational Management Limited, have announced the confirmation of more international speakers and launched an online job board in the run up to the event.
Brighter Futures will be held at the Accra International Conference Center on 8-10 July 2010 under the theme, “Developing a Skilled Work Force for a Better Africa” and aims to provide a platform for employers to meet potential employees face-to-face, saving on recruitment advertising costs; allowing recruiters to promote their employer brand to a high caliber audience ; and an opportunity for conference delegates to receive professional guidance and solutions to effective recruitment, skills development and talent management strategies for employees.
Two more international speakers, Dr Theo Veldsman, Executive of Bytes People Solutions, South Africa and Marieme Jamme, CEO of SpotOne Global Solutions, United Kingdom have joined the list of top speakers and experts who will be
addressing the conference.
Dr Theo Veldsman has a rich experience in career development, worked on the advisory board of hrAfrica 2008 and been a faculty member of Industrial Psychology and People Management at the University of Johannesburg. He is
expected to deliver a paper on "Transformational Leadership, Building Winning Teams".
Marieme Jamme, holder of an MBA in Corporate Technology and Business Development, having studied in France, Japan, UK and the US and has worked with leading organisations such as Citibank, JP Morgan, LTSB and in various
software companies such as Primavera INC, now Oracle, Microsoft and CA. Her topic at Brighter Futures will be ''Rebranding Africa Through Its Human Capital’’.
Attending the conference will be over 200 Human Resource Directors, Heads of HR, Government Officials, senior decision-makers, CEOs of top recruiting organisations, etc drawn from the private, public and non-profit sectors of
Ghanaian industry and will equip delegates with modern skills in improving recruitment practices and providing HR solutions, whiles saving costs.
Some of the topics to de discussed at the conference are “What CEOs Want from HR”, “HR’s Role in Organisational Development”, “Tackling Africa’s HR Challenges”, “Managing Succession Planning” and many more.
