The OnePlus 13T might be the official name for the compact OnePlus 13 Mini smartphone we’ve been hearing so much about, but it may well pack a super-sized battery.
Regular tipster Digital Chat Station has taken to Weibo to reveal a fascinating snippet of information concerning OnePlus’s next big (or rather small) phone release.
The leaker claims (via Google Translate) that “The 6.3-inch small-screen flagship in April has a battery of 6200mAh+”
Allow that to sink in for a moment. The OnePlus 13T, which will presumably be around the same size as the Google Pixel 9 Pro and the Xiaomi 15, will feature a 6200mAh battery.
We raved about the size of the battery in the full-sized OnePlus 13 earlier this year. That phone features a huge footprint to encompass its 6.82-inch screen, but its 6000mAh battery still seemed huge. If this latest tip is accurate, the OnePlus 13T will go even bigger.
OnePlus is obviously working its silicon-carbon (Si-C) battery technology hard here to pack a dense battery into a relatively compact form factor.
Other reports concerning the OnePlus 13T (formerly referred to as the OnePlus 13 Mini) assert that it’ll feature 80W wired charging. Opinion seems split on the nature of the camera set-up.
Some claim that there’ll be just the two cameras, including a 50Mp main sensor and a 50Mp 2x telephoto. Others claim that it’ll go the whole hog with a triple camera system, adding an 8Mp ultra-wide to the equation.
Expect it to run Qualcomm’s speedy Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, just like the OnePlus 13, as well as featuring a similarly premium metal and glass design.
One thing it most certainly won’t have is the brand’s famous Alert Slider. Company co-founder and CEO Pete Lau issued a blog post earlier this month revealing that it was set for the chopping block, with a contextual button taking its place.
As this latest tip notes, OnePlus is widely expected to announce the OnePlus 13T in April (in China at least), so we shouldn’t have too long to wait before all is revealed.
