The Deputy Israeli Prime Minister, Avigdor Liberman arrived in Accra on Monday for a day's official visit.
He was accompanied by 20 businessmen from top Israeli companies, as well as some heads of departments of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
While in Ghana, Mr Liberman, who is also the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, would call on President John Evans Atta Mills, hold a meeting with his Ghanaian counterpart, Muhammad Mumuni and sign an agreement on aqua-culture.
Mr Liberman is also expected to open an economic forum at the Accra International Conference Centre, hold talks with Ghanaian authorities on cooperation in vital areas such as agriculture, education and security.
Mr Liberman would leave Ghana for Nigeria later in the day, where he is expected to sign an agreement on international cooperation with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
At the airport to meet Mr Liberman was Mr Hanson Hall, Ghana's Ambassador-designate to Israel, government officials and members of the Diplomatic Corps.
