The Israeli Foreign Minister, Mr Avigdor Liberman is expected in Accra on Monday, as part of an eight-day official tour of 5 African countries, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda.
A statement issued and signed by Mr William Anani-Abotsi, Assistant Director of Information and Public Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration on behalf of the Minister said, Mr. Liberman, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister of the state of Israel, would be accompanied by a delegation of businessmen.
The businessmen are in the areas of water and Agro-technology, energy and infrastructure, medical equipment, telecommunications, information technology and security.
"The business delegation is constituted under the auspices of the Israel export and International Cooperation Institute. Other members of the delegation are expected to engage their Ghanaian counterparts in discussions on Monday, aimed at exploring new business opportunities for a sustained economic cooperation between Ghana and Israel" It said.
During his visit, the Prime Minister would hold bilateral talks with President John Evans Atta Mills and other government officials, aimed at strengthening the warm fraternal relations between the two countries.
The statement said the delegation departs Accra for Abuja the same day.
