India is in the process of planning a meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistani Prime Minister Asif Ali Zardrai in Yekaterinburg, Russia, June 15 onwards, local Hindi daily Navbharat Times said Thursday.
The Pakistani leader is expected to be present at a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Russia later this month, while Singh will arrive at Yekaterinburg on June 15 for a meeting on June 16 with the leaders of Russia, China, and Brazil, said the paper quoting unnamed Indian official sources.
Such a meeting could relaunch the official dialogue between India and Pakistan which was suspended after the Mumbai attacks in November last year.
In a similar manner, Manmohan Singh met the then Pak President Pervez Musharraf in Havana in 2006 on the sidelines of an international conference, and re-launched the once stalled talks between the two countries.
