Mr Joshua Addae, President of the Sefwi Youth Association of Sekondi-Takoradi, has commended President John Evans Atta Mills for nominating Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, a Member of Parliament (MP) for Sefwi Wiawso, for appointment as the Western Regional Minister.
He said this gesture by the President would inspire the chiefs and people of Sefwi, who have never produced a substantive Regional Minister.
These were contained in a statement signed and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Takoradi on Wednesday.
Mr Addae said the appointment of Mr Aidoo when approved by Parliament enable him to use his vast experience to assist in the development of the Region.
He said constituencies in the Sefwi area, which included, Bia; Bibiani-Ahwaiso-Bekwai; Juaboso and Wiaso, had consistently been voting massively for the National Democratic Congress.
