Mr Asare Yeboah, Kumasi Diocesan Chairman of the Association of Methodist Men's Fellowships, has urged members to see election as a civic and religious responsibility.
He has therefore called on all members to come out and vote on December 28, 2008 presidential election runoff.
Addressing the Association's last monthly meeting in Kumasi on Sunday, Mr Yeboah said the peace and tranquillity, which characterized the December 7, 2008 presidential and parliamentary elections, was an act of God following incessant fasting and prayers by stakeholders.
He said Ghanaians should exhibit the same patience to bring about peaceful and credible election in the second round.
Mr Yeboah said the nation stood to gain a lot from the outcome of the elections and noted that since 1992 Ghana had won admirations from the international community for its display of maturity in the conduct of polls.
He called on the leadership of the two contesting parties, the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party to accept the outcome of the runoff in good faith to further enhance the nation's reputation and respect among the comity of nations.
