Mr Ebenezer Terlabi, the National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate for Oforikrom, has said he would institute health walk in the constituency when given the mandate in the December poll.
He said the walk would be done every month as part of efforts to promote the healthy style of the people in the area.
Mr Terlabi said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after he had led a health walk he organized for residents of the constituency in Kumasi on Saturday.
He urged the residents, especially the youth, to lead healthy lifestyles and shun excessive drinking and drug abuse that could ruin their lives.
Mr Terlabi educated the electorate on the electoral procedures and said there was the need for them to be abreast with the voting process for a successful and peaceful election.
He said when given the mandate he would establish a Guidance and Counselling Centre for pupils and students.
Te Centre would also be tasked to encourage school drop-outs to take up vocational and technical training to help them acquire employable skills.
