President John Agyekum Kufuor has repeated Ghana's total commitment towards helping to bring peace back to Cote d'Ivoire, which has been in political crisis, since rebels calling itself, the Union of Forces for Change, seized the northern parts of the country.
He said the Ghana would continue to be supportive to restore its neighbour to normalcy.
President Kufuor said this in a remark before going into a closed door meeting with the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General's Special Representative for Cote d'Ivoire, Mr Pierre Schori, at the Castle, Osu, on Friday.
Mr Schori thanked President Kufuor for his contribution to peace and security in the West African country.
Not only are Ghanaian troops serving as peace keepers there, it has recently sent reinforcements, he noted.
