The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Accra Hearts of Oak SC and player Hussein Mohammed for misconduct following their Ghana Premier League clash with Asante Kotoko SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Accra Hearts of Oak SC and player Hussein Mohammed for misconduct following their Ghana Premier League clash with Asante Kotoko SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to the GFA, the charges stem from breaches of Articles 16(2)(b), 12(1)(k), and 34(6)(d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, as well as the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2025.
Hearts of Oak are alleged to have failed to control their players after the final whistle, as several reportedly confronted the referee in a disorderly manner. The club is also accused of allowing its supporters to throw objects onto the field of play during the incident.
Additionally, player Hussein Mohammed has been charged with allegedly assaulting the match referee after the game.
Both the club and the player have until Tuesday, November 11, 2025, to officially respond to the charges.
