Seed Academy Ghana (SAG), in partnership with an international coaching delegation, is proud to announce the 2025 Seed Academy Ghana Impact Tour, a dynamic four-day event designed to bring world-class basketball programming and leadership training to youth across Ghana. The tour will take place from April 21 to April 24, 2025, and will visit three key cities: Cape Coast (April 21), Accra (April 22), and Kumasi (April 24). Over 300 student-athletes, ages 8 to 16, will participate in clinics, skills development sessions, and cultural exchange activities.
Founded by British-Ghanaian former NBA player Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Seed Academy Ghana has been a beacon for youth basketball and leadership development in Ghana since 2019. This Impact Tour marks an important next step in SAG's mission to democratize access to world-class sports programming across all regions of Ghana, ensuring that young people from every corner of the country have access to life-changing opportunities—regardless of geography or circumstance.
"We believe basketball is more than just a game—it's a pathway to discipline, education, and opportunity," says Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Founder of Seed Academy Ghana. "This tour is personal for me. After years of successful programming in Accra, I'm focused on reaching young athletes in underserved regions like Cape Coast and Kumasi. The talent is there, and we want to make sure that talent has the chance to shine."
The 2025 Seed Academy Ghana Impact Tour will feature a diverse group of international coaches and mentors, with delegation members representing Gabon, the UK, and the USA. These experienced basketball professionals will provide invaluable coaching to youth at various levels of experience, helping them develop their skills while also promoting leadership and character-building.
