Black Stars forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed the team's determination to give their best in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Ghana is set to face Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, followed by a match against Madagascar on Monday, March 24, in Morocco.
With nine points from four matches, the Black Stars are tied with Comoros, having secured three wins and one defeat.
However, the team’s underwhelming performances last year have led to waning fan support, with many doubting Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
Despite this, Leicester winger Fatawu Issahaku, who is currently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained during international duty in November 2024, has reassured Ghanaians of the Black Stars’ commitment.
“We still need your support, and we are ready to fight for the nation as always. We hope to see you all in the stadium to help us achieve victory,” he said via the Ghana Football Association.
Ghana's World Cup qualifying journey began with a 1-0 win over Madagascar, followed by a loss to Comoros. The team bounced back with consecutive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic in June last year.
