Ghanaian youngster Abdul Aziz Issah has been nominated for the 2024 CAF Inter-Club Player of the Year award.
He received the nomination alongside his Dreams FC teammate John Antwi, making them the only Ghanaians in the running for the award.
The Ghanaian teenager was recognized by CAF as one of the continent's top young players after finishing as the leading scorer in last season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
The talented player scored four goals and provided two assists in 10 games, helping Dreams FC reach a historic semi-final berth in the competition.
Antwi also scored the same number of goals and captained the team throughout the campaign.
Abdul Aziz Issah has since joined FC Barcelona’s B team at the end of the season and is now awaiting his debut with the Catalan club.
He became the second Ghanaian player to sign for Barcelona this summer, following David Oduro, who joined from Accra Lions last week.
