Mohammed Kudus has apologised following the Black Star's unimpressive showings in the recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.
Kudus, who captained the national team in both the home game in Accra and the return leg in Libyia took full responsibility on behalf of the players for the situation the team found themselves in.
"It is with great humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I issue this statement. On behalf of the entire team, I will like to extend our sincerest apologies to the people of Ghana for our recent performances," Kudus said in a statement issued on Thursday, October 17.
The Black Stars played goalless draw with Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium and lost 0-2 in the return leg in Libya, leaving the team's hope of qualification hanging in the balance.
In his press statement, Mohammed Kudus admitted the results were not as expected.
