UK-based sportswear brand iGimel has reached a shirt sponsorship agreement with the Ghana Golf Association (GGA), marking a significant step towards boosting the commercial aspect of golf in Ghana.
The partnership aims to promote the sport while enhancing its visibility and commercial potential within the country. Dennis Koranteng, Director of iGimel, expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting that the sportswear brand aligns with the core values of the GGA.
“We are thrilled to partner with the GGA as a brand. Our shared commitment to promoting the sport of golf in Ghana makes this partnership a perfect fit,” Koranteng said.
In response, Solomon Allotey, General Secretary of the Ghana Golf Association, extended his gratitude to iGimel Sportswear for their support, particularly for their sponsorship of the Junior Championships held in South Africa and Scotland this year. He emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent and promised further efforts to promote golf among Ghana’s youth.
“This partnership is a key step in advancing golf in Ghana, especially at the youth level. We are committed to working with iGimel to create more opportunities for young golfers,” Allotey remarked.
The partnership is set to announce additional objectives in the near future as both parties work closely to advance their shared goals of promoting the sport and growing its presence in Ghana.
