Championship side Burnley are in advanced talks to sign defender Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest.
Englishman Worrall is scheduled to complete a medical on Thursday before signing a four-year deal.
The 27-year-old centre-back has made 226 appearances for his hometown club but spent the second half of last season on loan at Turkish side Besiktas.
"There is a chance he can move," Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo said when asked about Worrall in a news conference on Thursday.
"The information I have is that it is not done but I wish him all the best. He is a top guy."
Worrall could replace centre-back Ameen Al-Dakhil - who is likely to move to Germany - at Turf Moor, with Stuttgart reportedly interested in the Belgium international.
Meanwhile, fellow Burnley defender Dara O'Shea is attracting interest from Premier League sides Wolves and Brentford.
