Mr Edmond Oppong Preprah, one of the candidates contesting the Asante-Akim South New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primaries, has pledged to introduce innovative ways to strengthen the party’s finances at the constituency level.
He said “zonal farms” would be established to help bring in more money to support the party’s activities in the area.
Additionally, Mr Peprah, a lecturer at the Kumasi Polytechnic, would build a new constituency office and furnish it with modern
equipment within 18 months, if endorsed by the delegates.
He made these promises during a power point presentation to give the party executive some insight into his vision at Juaso, the constituency headquarters.
According to him, a political party of the NPP’s stature deserved a befitting office to enhance administrative work.
He would also provide offices in all the 10 zones to inject vibrancy into the party at all levels.
Asked if he would still go ahead to redeem the promises in the event of a defeat at the primaries, Mr Peprah said he would be in a better position to implement his vision when elected and
appealed to the delegates to give him the chance.
