Egypt has arrested three former ministers of interior, tourism and housing, as well as a tycoon from the ruling party, over corruption allegations, Egypt's official news agency MENA said Thursday.
The Public Prosecution ordered former interior minister Habib el-Adly, former housing minister Ahmed el-Maghrabi and former tourism minister Zuheir Garana to remand in custody for 15-day- investigation, a judicial source said.
MENA quoted the source as saying that Ahmed Ezz, a former senior member of the National Democratic Party (NDP), was also jailed for 15-day-pending investigation.
Egypt's military council has announced a travel ban on 43 members from the current and ex-government from travelling without permission, according to Al Arabia TV.
