Teeming supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Brong-Ahafo have welcomed the re-shuffle of some Ministers by President John Evans Atta Mills.
The appointment and re-shuffle exercise, they claimed, would maximize the government’s chances of achieving the better Ghana agenda.
Mr. Kwasi Frimpong, Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Propaganda Secretary of the Party, disclosed this at a press briefing in Techiman.
He said the appointment of Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, former Eastern Regional Minister as Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, as well as Mr. Martin Amidu as Attorney-General and Minister of Justice was laudable.
“The appointment of Mr. Ampofo, former national organiser of the party, is in the right direction because he has in-depth knowledge on grassroots participation in governance”, he said.
Mr. Frimpong expressed the hope that the Minister would strive to solve the numerous problems confronting the party nationwide.
The reshuffle has given credence to the devotion of President Mills to the achievement of the goals of the Better Ghana Agenda, he added.
