Mr. Gyau Peprah, an aspiring Assembly member for Abanim Electoral Area in Techiman Municipality, has admonished the youth to use their energies for productive activities to help develop their communities.
He stressed that such productive activities could be manifested in communal labour and clean-up exercises, obedience and respect for authority.
Mr. Peprah made the call at a clean-up exercise and football match organised as part of his campaign in the electoral area.
Outlining his vision for the area, Mr. Peprah said he would employ the power of lobbying to bring development to the people.
He deplored the absence of streetlights and drainage system, which he said had exposed a lot of buildings in the area to erosion.
In spite of the fact that Techiman Central market is situated in the area and thus generate a lot of revenue for the Municipal Assembly, the area had enjoyed very little development.
In the ensuing football match, Abanim Electoral Area thrashed Konimase Electoral Area 3-2.
