Mr. Robert Mensah, the Assemblyman for Supomu-Dunkwa Electoral Area, on Tuesday expressed worry about the postponement of the District Assembly Elections in eight regions.
He said people who had travelled to their hometowns to vote would have to reschedule their time and this might affect their businesses and other aspects of their socio-economic lives.
Mr Mensah told the GNA that the postponement might also affect voter turn out.
"I have gone round with some officers in the area to educate the electorate about the change in date and assured them that Thursday will definitely be the actual date for voting", he said.
The District assembly elections originally scheduled to take place on December 28, have been postponed in all but Central and Upper West regions.
