A total of 92 newly created electoral areas have
been added to the number of electoral areas in the Western Region, bringing the number to 544 against the previous figure of 452.
Mr Steve Opoku-Mensah, Regional Director of the Electoral Commission told the GNA on Wednesday that Jomoro, which had 30, now has 34, Nzema East
previously 17 now stands at 25, Ahanta West has 36 while Takoradi Sub-Metro now has 15.
Wassa Amenfi West had the largest number and now stands at 42 from 32. The rest are Effia 13, Sekondi 9, Essikado-Ketan 12, Shama 12, Mpohor
Wassa East 34, Tarkwa municipality 30, Wassa Amenfi West 42, Wassa Amenfi East 28 and Aowin Suaman 33.
The others are said Bibiani-Bekwai, 36, Sefwi Wiawso 31, Juaboso 27, Bia 39, Ellembele 36, Pretea/Huni-Valley, 32, and Sefwi Akontombra, 15.
Mr Opoku-Mensah said the region did not encounter any problem with the re-demarcation exercise.
