Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, Chairman of the Kwabre West Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has appealed to members to ensure unity of purpose and intensify the campaign to make the party more attractive to voters.
He said the task of unseating the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in election 2012 demanded hard work, sacrifice and concerted efforts of the members.
Odeneho Appiah was speaking at the fund-raising and inauguration of a 30-member Polling Station Executive for the Atimatim Electoral Area in the constituency.
He chided the Mills Administration for what he said was its poor performance that had led to soaring unemployment, high cost of living and education among others.
"Most Ghanaians are yearning for NPP to come back to power in 2012 to put the economy on sound footing and improve their living conditions", he said.
Madam Mary Brobbey, former Ashanti Regional
Women's Organizer of the NPP, advised the executives and supporters to embark on house-to-house campaign to explain the party's policies and ideology to voters to win them over.
She counseled them to avoid the use indecent language and insults in order to stave off unnecessary political tension and confusion in the run up to presidential and parliamentary polls.
