Mr. Kwaku Yeboah, Biadan Constituency Chairman, National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Tuesday asked Ghanaians to have confidence in President John Evans Atta Mills and ignore the schemes and ploys adopted by the New Patriotic Party to make the government unpopular.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Biadan in the Berekum Municipality, Mr. Yeboah described the NPP and its cohorts as
"hypocrites" saying "they could not do anything to lessen the hardship of Ghanaians in their eight year administration".
He said now that the general elections were over, there was the need for all well-meaning Ghanaians to rally solidly behind the government in its efforts to propel the country into the middle income bracket.
Mr. Yeboah explained that the NDC was committed to make the "Better Ghana Agenda" a reality by initiating sound programmes and policies which sought to create jobs for the youth.
"We should give the government ample time in the country's reconstruction process", he said stressing that "nothing can disrupt and derail the Better Ghana Agenda".
Mr. Yeboah appealed to supporters of the NDC to remain loyal and exercise restraint whilst the government put in place interventions to address the problem of unemployment.
