Opening of nominations for the District Level elections is scheduled for August 28 and 29 throughout the country.
Interested candidates would be required to go for nomination forms from the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Electoral Commission (EC) offices.
The election would be conducted on October 26.
The Kwahu-South District registration supervisor of the EC, Mr Edward Asare-Addo, said this when he addressed the second ordinary meeting of the Kwahu-South District Assembly at Mpraeso on Thursday.
He said nominations for the unit committee election would also be held on August 25 and 26 where five persons would be elected for every electoral area.
Mr Addo said interested candidates could paste their posters and undertake house- to- house campaign but would not be allowed to mount
platforms since only the EC had the mandate to mount platforms for contesting candidates.
He said the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies would soon be dissolved for the election to be conducted.
