Ms Sophia Honner-Sam, Deputy Western Regional Minister, has cautioned supporters of political parties against organising "Keep Fit" exercises to incite trouble in their communities.
She said it was good to exercise the body regularly, but expressed regret that some persons were using such clubs formed on party lines to stir up confusion and advised such persons to stop the practice as the law enforcement agencies would not sit unconcerned for a few people to disturb the peace.
The Deputy Minister was addressing a rally organised by the Mfantseman West Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Mankessim at the weekend.
Ms Honner-Sam urged Ghanaian women to rally behind the Party, as it had demonstrated beyond any doubt that it had the welfare of women at heart, saying the creation of the Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs was a great relief to women.
Mr Alan Kyeremateng, Minister of Trade Industry and President's Special Initiatives (PSI) advised the unemployed to take advantage of the numerous interventions introduced by the Government for poverty reduction.
He said the Government would release funds for income-generating activities but not for individual pockets.
