The Chiefs and people of Ejura in the Ashanti Region have extended their support and blessings to the Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as he campaigns to be elected President in next month’s elections.
Dr. Bawumia’s recent tour of the Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency saw him meet with key stakeholders, including traditional and religious leaders, who expressed gratitude for his contributions to the area’s development.
Barima Osei Hwedie II, the Chief of Ejura, speaking on behalf of his people, applauded Dr. Bawumia’s dedication to resolving local issues, including addressing long-standing water shortages. He noted that Ejura now enjoys a steady water supply, thanks to the Vice President’s intervention.
"Sometime back, we met you at Manhyia and appealed for your help with our water situation. You promised to assist, and today, the issue of water, which was once a serious problem, is now a thing of the past," Barima Osei Hwedie said, commending Dr. Bawumia’s fulfillment of his commitment.
The Chief also praised other key projects led by Dr. Bawumia, including the repair of Ejuraman Senior High School’s dining hall roof, which was damaged by a rainstorm, and the construction of a modern astro turf for the youth. These efforts, he noted, have positively impacted the community’s development.
“Ejuraman has decided, and I have endorsed, that wherever you are, we are also right there behind you. Our prayer is that may your kindness and commitment to transforming Ghana be rewarded by God, so that His favour grants you the Presidency,” Barima Osei Hwedie added.
Additionally, the Chief pledged Ejuraman’s support for the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the area, Gifty Ndoma, emphasizing that her partnership with Dr. Bawumia would bring further progress to Ejura.
