Madam Paulina Patience Abayage, the Upper East Regional Minister, has said she would focus her attention on vulnerable groups to help improve their lives.
“I am going to work with women, children and the disabled in the region to establish them into the working class to ensure that the development policies of the Government have positive effect on everyone in the region.”
Madam Abayage, who was speaking at one of her maiden meetings with stakeholders in Bolgatanga, called for unity among the people to enhance accelerated development. “The region is endowed with many resources which could be well harnessed to propel socio-economic development as the area is peaceful and there will be no disturbances once we set our minds to work”, she said.
“The Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), the traditional authorities and the general public of the Upper East will collaborate and work on the projects of the President of the Republic of Ghana which are in progress, to develop the region, communities and Ghana at large”.
The Minister said the government was implementing a number of interventions that would positively impact on the citizens but that could not be enough to achieve the appreciable level of development that everyone desired unless there was a collective effort from all stakeholders.
