A day after the wedding of Prince Charles to Camilla Parker Bowles, more flowers than usual were placed at Paris' Place de l'Alma on Sunday where the prince's
late wife Diana was killed in a car crash in 1997.
Diana admirers placed flowers around the Flame of Liberty, which has become an unofficial memorial to the late princess
since her death.
One message attached to a bouquet of roses read: "To Diana
who will always be Princess of Wales".
Another carried a caricature showing Diana in tears between Charles and his new wife.
Charles married Camilla on Saturday, formalising an on-off relationship that has endured for more than three decades.
Camilla, whom many hold responsible for the break-up of Charles' marriage to the glamorous Diana a year before her death, has adopted the title of Duchess of Cornwall rather than Princess of Wales, held by Diana, though legally she gains all the titles her husband has.
