An Accra Circuit Court on Thursday remanded Issahaku Adam, a Spiritualist and land guard into prison custody for allegedly trespassing and threatening to kill one Sibiru Musah, a member of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Task Force.
He pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on June 8.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Paul K. Frimpong, prosecuting told the court that Musah resides at North Kaneshie whiles Issahaku also known as 116 operates around Abehenease near Amasaman, in the Greater Accra Region.
He said sometime in 2004, Musah acquired a piece of land at Abehenease from the chief and his elders for which documents were issued to him.
DSP Frimpong said Musah built a three bedroom house up to the roofing level and travelled to Upper East Region for the final funeral rights of his late grandfather.
He said when Musah returned, he realised that Issahaku had roofed his building and partially fenced it.
The prosecution said Musah confronted Issahaku as to why he had taken over his property, but this infuriated Issahaku who threatened to kill Musah with a gun he pulled out from his car with registration number GT 4888 parked in the premises.
He said Musah reported the incident to Amasaman Police but their efforts to arrest Issahaku proved futile.
DSP Frimpong said later Musah had information that Issahaku had been arrested in connection with a different case at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters in Accra.
He said Musah followed up to Amasaman Police station where his case was also referred to the CID Headquarters for investigations and Issahaku was charged.
