Managements in the hospitality industry have been urged to partner Metropolitan, Municipal, District Assemblies and traditional authorities to develop tourism in the country.
Nii Ephraim, Effutu Municipal Chief Executive who made the call at a National Executive Meeting of Ghana Hoteliers Association in Winneba, said they could in addition, liase with Government to establish children and national parks to boost tourism.
The meeting was to discuss and find solutions to challenges facing the industry.
Nii Ephraim explained that such collaboration could help create jobs and reduce unemployment in the society.
He said hoteliers had a vital role in poverty alleviation and urged them to come out with strategies, attractive rates and serene atmosphere in the hotels that would attract tourists and visitors to the country.
Nii Ephraim appealed to them to assist traditional authorities to package the various festivals in the country to make them attractive and thereby generate revenue and create jobs for the youth.
He pledged to assist the industry in the municipality to flourish towards socio-economic development.
