Members of Temple of Praise Ministry with branches in the United Kingdom, United States of America and Italy on Monday presented a 5,500 Euros ambulance to Sunyani Municipal and Sunyani West District Assemblies.
Reverend Adu Kyeremeh, General Secretary of the Ministry presenting the keys of the ambulance at Odumase, said it was part of their social responsibility in rescue services to society.
He said it was in response to a request by the Ministry's headquarters in Sunyani to help promote quality health care delivery.
Mr Ankomah Kyeremeh, Sunyani West District Chief Executive, receiving the keys expressed appreciation to the Ministry and said ensuring quality health care delivery was a priority of the government, hence introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
He advised personnel of Ghana Red Cross Society and Ghana National Fire Service to take proper care of the ambulance.
Divisional Officer Three, Kwasi Baffour-Awuah, Sunyani Municipal Fire Officer, noted that the rate of road accidents in the municipality was alarming and the ambulance would enhance quality, effective and immediate rescue services.
However, he appealed to the assemblies to bear its operational cost.
