Mr. Emmanuel Siako, chairman of Techiman Keep Fit Club, at the weekend advised Ghanaians to undertake regular body exercises such as swimming, jogging, dancing, walking and hopping to keep them fit.
He cited that "It is very important that everybody exercises the body so that the muscles will function effectively and keep us strong".
Mr. Siako, who was briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) about the importance of body exercises to the promotion of health, after members of the club undertook a walk from Techiman to Nkoranza, said that keep fit exercises could make the digestive system function effectively.
Mr. Isaac Kwasi Twumasi, Nkoranza District Education Sports Organizer, said plans were far advanced for the formation of a keep fit club at Nkoranza.
Other officials of the Techiman club were Mr. Paul Yaw Fosu, vice chairman, Mr. Daniel Owusu, secretary, Mr. Samuel Obimpeh, assistant secretary and Mr. Augustine Kyere, treasurer.
