March 26, 2026 GNA By Deladem Nanevie, GNA Tema, March 25, GNA – Mr Courage Makafui Nunekpeku, the Managing Director of TDC Ghana Limited, has urged national service personnel to transition from being merely skilled individuals to principled leaders. Mr Nunekpeku gave the advice at a graduation parade held for national service personnel serving at the TDC at Michel Camp after the completion of a two-week orientation and character-building programme.
He emphasised that the future of the nation depended not only on professional qualifications but also on the discipline, values, and personal transformation of its youth.
The personnel underwent a 14-day intensive training programme, supported by the Ghana Armed Forces and the National Service Authority. The training aimed at building resilience, disciplineand respect for authority. “These are not temporary lessons; they are lifelong values that must guide how you think, act, and serve,” Mr Nunekpeku said.
He highlighted discipline as a key principle for success and urged the personnel to reflect their training in their punctuality and daily conduct. He encouraged them to view national service as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to national development rather than as an obligation. He cautioned against shortcuts and dishonesty, stressing that the strength of any institution depended on the integrity of its people.
Mr Nunekpeku challenged the personnel to “choose the harder right over the easier wrong”, adding that leadership began with personal responsibility. “Leadership is not about titles; it begins with taking responsibility for your actions and your contributions wherever you find yourself,” he said.
