Three houses and property worth millions of cedis have been destroyed at the weekend when a bush fire engulfed Zuime-Agabadikope, a farming community near Aflao.
Three bans of corn, goats and undisclosed amount of cash were also lost in the fire, which has rendered about 14 people homeless. They are now being assisted with lodging and clothing by relatives and neighbours.
Mr. Emiel Agbadi, a native of the village, whose parents were affected, told the GNA that majority of the villagers were away on the farm when the fire struck.
He said but for the few men at home at the time, the entire village would have been destroyed.
Mr. Agbadi blamed the fire on a group of men who, as usual, were hunting for rodents in the area.
