Ghana is to host the 4th edition of the West Africa Pharma Healthcare Exhibition scheduled between May 6 and 8, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre, Accra.
The event will feature over 120 exhibitors and attract more than 5,000 visitors from the pharmaceutical, medical, and healthcare industries.
Briefing the media in Accra on Wednesday, the Cheif Executive Officer of the Ghana National Chamber of Pharmacy, Ms Audrey Serwaa Bonsu, said the exhibition would mark a turning point in Ghana’s pharmaceutical sector, paving the way for increased investment, innovation, and growth.
“By positioning itself as a manufacturing hub, Ghana stands to benefit from job creation, economic development, and a stronger healthcare system. The upcoming exhibition promises to be a major milestone in this journey,” she elaborated.
Ms Bonsu emphasised that the exhibition would serve as an avenue for business partnerships and the promotion of contract manufacturing in Ghana.
The Project Director of the West Africa Pharma and Healthcare Exhibition, Mr Praveen Singh, said “The number of exhibitors have grown from 85 last year to over 100 this year. Apart from India, Turkey, and Egypt, countries such as the USA, Korea, Vietnam, Namibia, Pakistan, Spain, and Italy will also be participating.”
He was optimistic that the event would provide opportunities for local companies to partner with international firms to help them expand their reach and capabilities.
