The 2024 Presidential Candidate for the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Dr Daniel Augustus Lartey Junior, has urged Ghanaians to put aside their political differences and support the government to build a prosperous and better Ghana.
He said the country would progress and see positive transformation if citizens prioritised collaboration and unity.
Dr Lartey said this when he led a delegation from EV Beauty Ghana Company Limited to present boxes of environmentally friendly detergents to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
“All political parties should come together to help the government build a prosperous and better Ghana.
“Today, we have set an example because this country is ours and we have to build it,” he said.
Dr Lartey emphasised that the party's domestication policy remained the most effective strategy for driving the country's development and growth.
The policy, he said, focused on robust agricultural reform aimed at achieving self-reliance and reducing the country's reliance on external factors.
Dr Lartey's Chief of Staff, Eben Tetteh, also said the country had come a long way, with the current government putting measures in place to fix the country, particularly the economy.
He expressed confidence that unity and collaboration, transcending political differences, would pave the way for progress.
Speaking during the donation, the Founder of the company, Ama Vera, advocated for the use of eco-friendly disinfectants that prioritised human safety and environmental protection.
She encouraged the use of natural, chemical-free alternatives, highlighting the benefits of her company's donated products, which she indicated were part of its corporate social responsibility.
Ms Vera said the products donated were made from human cell-derived ingredients which were gentle on humans and the environment while effectively killing viruses.
The acting Chief Executive Officer of the EPA, Professor Nana Ama Browne Klutse, who received the items, expressed gratitude for the donation and said it would be utilised for its intended purpose.
She reaffirmed the EPA’s dedication to regulating the activities of companies that posed a risk to human health and the environment.
