This event, which will take place from the 5th to 9th March, 2025, will bring together members of the OAA 75, 85 and 2000-Year Groups to celebrate their rich history, honor their founders,  showcase their achievements to the Akora Nation while cataloging the exceptional heritage of Achimota School.

Projects

The various Year Groups are embarking on different Projects to improve upon the infrastructure as well as teaching and learning standards of their Alma mater.

The OAA 75 & 85 year groups, would be handing over a Legacy project worth Ghc1.5 million of equipment to the Science Laboratories on March 5. They believe that, having these resources for the students would provide them with valuable experiences and prepare the Science students especially, for tertiary education.

The OAA 2000(2G) year group is also constructing an 18-unit Classroom Block as its Legacy Project which would be handed over in November, 2025. The motive for the Classroom Block as a Legacy Project emphasizes creating a lasting infrastructure that benefits future generations of Achimota.

All the Year Groups celebrating their anniversaries this year, believe in impacting the lives of students who pass through the walls of Achimota School.

We are, therefore, entreating all Akoras and lovers of education to join us as we celebrate the 98th Founders' Day Durbar of Achimota School on March 8 at 2.00pm to be preceded by a Cadet Parade at 8:30am.

Thanksgiving Service

We would climax this year’s celebration with a Thanksgiving Service at the Aggrey Chapel on March 9.

The Founders' Day is a yearly celebration that honors the schools’ heritage and its rich culture together with students, all alumni and well-wishers of Achimota School.
