About 100 participants will today partake in the public lecture on Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) at the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV), Praia, Cabo Verde.
To be held by the Inter-Governmental Group of Action against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), the lecture would be the fifth in the series of public lectures on AML/CFT held by the group, following previous editions held at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Nigeria (2011), Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (2014), University of Benin, Benin (2017) and the Nile University, Abuja, Nigeria in 2021.

GIABA indicated that it had identified the ivory towers as a veritable platform to reach a large community of well-informed people towards achieving a crime-free society.
