The President of SIF, Reverend Noah T. Quarshie, emphasised the need for a concerted effort to support maternity facilities with requisite maternal equipment to ensure expectant mothers go through delivery safely.

According to him, maternal deliveries should be smoothly undertaken without hitches with the available essentials.

“Expectant mothers must be helped to deliver safely so that their children can live to fulfil God’s purpose for their lives,” he added.

Rev. Quarshie stated that Children were core to the heart of his organisation’s operations, since they were cherished component of the Kingdom of God.

He said thathis ministry was committed to contributing to their quota to the cause of alleviating the plight of the needy in the society.

“We equally take the physical need of people very seriously aside from the regular spiritual provisions,” Rev Quarshie added.

The Administrator of the MadinaPolyclinic (Kekele), Mr Peter Gagah, thank SIF for the gesture and gave the assurance that the items would be used for the intended purpose.

He appealed to benevolent organisations to help the Polyclinic furnish its designated surgical theatre with furniture and surgical equipment.

This, according Mr Gagah would enable the clinic to carry out surgical operations as part of its health service delivery.

He said inpatients who needed surgical services were referred to near and far health facilities due to the lack of surgical theatre in the Polyclinic, a situation which made the clinic unattractive destination to access surgical services.

The Health Service Administrator underscored the need for the elevation of his health facility to a hospital status to adequately meet the growing health service needs of the people of La NkwantanangMadina Municipality, carved out the Ga East Municipal Assembly a decade ago.

He premised this need for a status elevation on the huge population size of the municipality, adding that“the Polyclinic records over 200 Out Patient Department cases daily.”
