The African Development Bank is pleased to invite you to the virtual launch of the 2021 African Economic Outlook (AEO) on Friday 12 March 2021, from 14.00 to 16.30 GMT.

The report, themed From Debt Resolution to Growth: The Road Ahead for Africa, will give a much-awaited update on the continent’s growth performance and outlook amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, the AEO explores the causes, consequences and challenges surrounding the continent’s debt dynamics. Crucially, the publication proposes reforms to improve debt resolution, governance, and sustainable growth in Africa.

The flagship report will be officially launched by Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina, President of the African Development Bank Group, who will be joined by a special international guest to reflect on the issues raised by the AEO.

The event will also bring together high-level policymakers, heads of international institutions, the diplomatic community, academia, private sector participants and journalists to reflect on the findings of the report and share experiences and views.
