A magnitude-5.1 earthquake rattled the east coast of Kamchatka peninsula in Russia's Far East early Thursday morning, RIA Novosti reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 70 kilometers south-west of the Ust-Kamchatsk area. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, and no tsunami alert was issued.
Several hours earlier another earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.6, struck the Kronotsky gulf, 130 kilometers north-east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
