The Keta Municipal Assembly has donated food items, sugar and cooking oil and poly mats to Moslems in the area in support of the oncoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival.
Three bags each of maize, rice and beans, a bag of sugar, two gallons of vegetable oil and 100 pieces of poly mats went to each Moslem community at Anloga-Kportorgbi, Anyanui, Adzido and Abor.
Mr Sylvester Tornyeavah, the Keta Municipal Chief Executive, said the donation was to show appreciation for Moslems' contribution to the spiritual and social progress of the country.
He appealed to Moslems not to deviate from the desire for religious freedom and peaceful co-existence with the adherents of other faiths.
Mohammed Sani, Chief Imam of Adizdo Zongo, thanked the Assembly for the donation and assured the government of their support for its polices.
