Mr Anthony Egyir Aikins, Cape Coast Metropolitan Chief Executive, has warned that the assembly would not favour anybody in pulling down unauthorised buildings and structures within the
metropolis.
Mr Egyir Aikins gave the warning on Friday when he toured the metropolis with a technical team to inspect flood prone areas and evolve
measures to curb its occurrence.
At Siwidu, Ankaful, Antem, Nkanfoa, Adisadel and Kakumdo the team discovered that drains in the localities are choked with mud and weeds.
Mr Aikins expressed displeasure about estate developers who are building along water ways and also called on the people to desilt their drains to avoid flooding.
Mr William Ansong, Regional Director of the Town and Country Planning advised residents to grow grass on their compounds to help check erosion.
