Mr. Osei Yaw Owusu-Sekyere, Chairman of the Western Regional Network of Non-Governmental Organizations (WERENGO), has asked member organizations to undertake more development oriented projects, to improve upon the living conditions in the region.
He made the call at a general meeting of the Network at Takoradi at the weekend.
Mr. Owusu-Sekyere said each member organization should undertake not less than four community and development projects within the next three years.
He said the NGOs should go to communities and find out their problems, and designed appropriate and attractive project that would win support from donors.
Mr. Owusu-Sekyere said NGOs should not wait until funding is available before designing projects, as many donors would be willing to fund good projects.
He advised NGOs that have problem with project funding to liaise with the Network to put them into contact with donors.
