Computer Aid to Ghana, a Danish-based Non Governmental Organisation (NGOs), on Friday donated items worth GH¢35,000 to some educational institutions in Akropong-Akwapim in the Eastern Region.
The items presented in Accra included computers, stationary for schools, hospital beds, wheel chairs, story books and other educational
materials.
The items were distributed through an Akropong-Akwapim-based NGO, Adasaf Foundation.
Mr. Kwame Danquah, Director of the NGO, who send such items from Denmark on regular basis to the various institutions in Eastern Region said
they were intended to improve quality of life in Akropong-Akwapim and its environs.
"I believe that donating these items to the people in the rural areas who really need it would enable the school children have access to
Information Communication and Technological (ICT) facilities", he said.
Mr. Kofi Saforo, Director of Adasaf Foundation, expressing gratitude to the Danish NGO, said he hoped beneficiaries would put the items to good use.
He urged the children to take advantage of the story books to improve on their reading habits.
