The Koforidua Diocese of the Methodist Church, is to embark on large scale farming to complement government's efforts to achieve national food security.
This was contained in a communiqué issued by the church at the end of its 31st Annual Synod, which ended on Sunday at Suhum in the Eastern Region.
The communiqué said the church would improve upon its infrastructure by building and improving on schools and investing in hostels and retreat
centres to serve the mission and host communities.
The church also decided to embark on Bible studies and evangelism and plant 20 churches in the diocese within a year.
The communiqué appealed to the government, security forces and civil society groups to work together to ensure the stability of the country.
