The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards took place in the wee hours of this morning as the who’s who of the music industry scooped awards at New York’s UBS Arena – with South African star Tyla winning the Best Afrobeats category for her hit Water.
The awards saw Taylor Swift command the night with seven wins, tying for most overall, while Eminem overtook for most solo male artist wins and Anitta tied the record for the most “Best Latin” wins (3).
