Celine Dion remembered her late husband Rene Angelil on the fifth anniversary of his death on Thursday,
The superstar singer, 52, posted a closeup photo of herself and Angelil holding hands to her Instagram.
In the caption, she wrote: 'René, it's been 5 years already… There's not one day that we don't think about you.'
The French-Canadian hitmaker was married to her manager from 1995 to his death from cancer at the age of 73.
The couple had three sons together - René-Charles, now 19, and twins Nelson and Eddy, now 10.
In her tribute, Dion said: 'We're reaching out to you now more than ever, to guide us, protect us, and continue to watch over us. And we pray that you'll shine your love on the entire world, to all those at this very moment, who are facing incredibly difficult times.'
She concluded: 'You are in our hearts and in our lives forever. We love you, Celine, René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy xx…'
Dion and Angelil, both from Quebec, first met when she was just 13.
He was a 39-year-old music manager still married to his second wife when he decided to devote himself to making her a star.
They started a relationship in 1988, three years after his divorce, but waited another six years before marrying due to sensitivity about how their romance would be publicly perceived.
Angelil succumbed to throat cancer on January 14, 2016, two days before his 74th birthday.
He was honored by the government of Quebec with a 'national funeral' at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.
