The U.S. dollar traded at the lower 99 yen level early Monday in Tokyo, higher than its levels in New York late last Friday.

At 9 a.m., the dollar changed hands at 99.32-37 yen against 99. 08-18 yen in New York and 99.39-41 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.

The euro traded at 1.3006-3011 dollars and 129.16-21 yen compared with 1.3039-3049 dollars and 129.25-35 yen in New York and 1.3089-3091 dollars and 130.09-13 yen in Tokyo late Friday.
